  Dr. Huang Peng is a reseach assistant proffessor in the department of civil engineering, the University of Hong Kong. His research interests include: (1) Porous pavements, low impact development, stormwater management; (2) Hyporheic exchange, river restoration; (3) Groundwater & surface flow interaction modeling, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) open channel flow modeling; and (4) Flooding risk assessment induced by sea level rise and storm surges and management strategy, etc.

  Carlo obtained his degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Stuttgart and completed his Ph.D. at the Department for Resource-Efficient Wastewater Technologies at RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau in Germany in mid-2023.   My name is Nguyen Duc Viet, I am currently a postdoctoral fellow at Ghent University Global Campus, Republic of Korea. In 2012, I attended Hanoi University of Science and Technology for the Degree of Engineer in Environmental Engineering and graduated as valedictorian with excellent degree in 2017. In the same year, I have visited Kyoto University in Japan and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia as visiting scholar. I got my doctoral degree from Sungkyunkwan University, Republic of Korea in the year 2022. My research interests are in environmental technologies such as membranes and biological based wastewater treatment as well as application of artificial intelligence for enhancement of system’s performance.

  I research and teach in the Department of Civil and Natural Resources Engineering at the University of Canterbury. I currently research in runoff quality characterisation, pollutant load modelling, development of new treatment technologies and assessment of socio-cultural benefits of Nature-based Solutions to inform design. Very interested in water sensitive urban design, ecological solutions for treatment, creating ecological resilience in engineered systems and adaptive engineering for a changing climate.
