  Ekaterina is a Ph.D. researcher at the Sanitary Engineering section of the faculty of Civil Engineering and GeoSciences. She holds a Master of Science degree (urbanism track) from Delft University of Technology. Her master thesis project «Versatile London» was selected for Archiprix 2016, published in Domus magazine and presented at Design Week in the Netherlands a year later. After graduating from TU Delft, she worked as a landscape designer and landscape engineer with five years of experience in international companies: Macanoo, VISTA, and Felixx. She was involved in several Dutch projects related to the urban environment, ecology, and sustainable development. Some of the most recognizable realized projects include: nature islands Marker Wadden (Flevoland, Netherlands), Heerlen City Hall and Municipal Offices (Heerlen, Netherlands), and renovation Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen (Rotterdam, Netherlands), among others. Her academic focus is on water-resilient urban spaces, climate-adaptive design solutions, sustainable water management and urban drainage, urban drainage technologies for regions with hot and cold climates. Her professional experience adds to this an urban morphology study and environmental assessment methodology.

  Biao Huang is currently an Associate Professor at Ningbo University in China. Engaging in a collaborative joint Ph.D. program at the University of Alberta in Canada, he achieved his Ph.D. in Hydraulic Engineering from the Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute in China. His continuous research endeavors revolve predominantly around sewer system monitoring and the adept application of advanced modeling techniques. He is a convener of various undergraduate and post-graduate courses in hydrology/hydraulics, urban drainage, and groundwater.
